As the year ends, everyone finds a place to make memories from, where some go to bars, churches, concerts, sleepovers and many others. But the apostolic people are given a chance to make good memories in the Thematic Apostolic Camps. It’s a big deal to the apostolic people for it’s a get - together time, meeting and getting to know new people, games and all sorts of entertainment.
The most interesting part are the themes for every camp ! T hese drive us throughout the yea r, giving the apostolic people a spiritually set theme which gives meaning to their character, lifestyle and conduct in that year .
Camp 2025-26 - I personally think this was the best camp, for I have never been super excited and organised the way I was in this camp. To me and my family it became a countdown as I saw and heard Apostolic council leaders and the team , work hand in hand to make the seven days memorable and our camping site feel like home.
Finally, the 28 th of December reached, the arrival day to our campsite which was Right Care school (Mpigi campus). The site was favourable for every one , with big and clean rooms for the night duties and credit goes to BK Construction Company for the necessary renovation they carried out, Ph. Moses and his team (the camp before camp team). A well-built hall that was designed and decorated by Sue Collet for the daily conferences.
Many arrived on that day and were all glad to see their brothers and sisters physically , as we spend much time keeping up with each other’s lives through the social media platforms. Disciples from all over Uganda and outside travelled to be part of the camp , such as Ph. Joshua and his team from Kenya. Elder Jotham and his team made a pleasant setting as indications to dormitories, bathrooms and latrines were put up in time , thus preventing disturbances.
So on the 29 th the camp officially began, Ap. Francis and Pr. Tony programmed the flow of each day. Well , despite other gatherings in the contemporary churches, this wasn’t a one man’s show because we had different people from the five f old ministries minister to us, who
revealed to us the mistake of thinking we were living in the apostolic rather than being the apostolic people. They showed us our purpose and pattern as the apostolic people. As we continued, we sat down and listened to Ap. Wilson who taught us about communication . H e told us that its not just about talking and listening but communication is a dynamic process, he also revealed the mystery of the father’s (God) heart to His sons.
Taking from the first apostles in Acts 2:42, we continued in the apostle’s doctrine, fellowship, breaking of bread and prayers where Elder Prossy and her team prepared the body and blood of Jesus Christ every day . Y our hard work and dedication are truly valued and appreciated ! T hanks for the commitment and excellence. T o those who led us on the Lord’s table every day, you guys really blessed us. On Friday, we had a zoom meeting with Ap. Nick from Australia who told us that we need to be humble to advance the kingdom of Jesus , taking after His (Jesus) humble ness . While the adults were being fed spiritually , the young ones were also fed by Ph. Teo and Elder John, sharpening them spiritually.
The national youth leader Sarah Nahabwe and her team prepared youth quiz where 16 centres took part and each presented 2 trusted participants, testing their apostolic knowledge and the participants of Kaliti discipleship centre won. Elder Innocent and his media team made sure everyone whether physical or online was updated with every program. As the saying goes , work without play makes Jack a dull boy, Dixon, Sarah and their team gave us band music and worship sessions where we sang and danced for the LORD. Mama Joy also made a contribution through her songs.
A big shout out to our amazing sanitation team , Elder Norah and her team cleaned the hall from the start to the end, Elder Sarah Mukisa and her team made sure the environment was always clean which encouraged everyone to keep clean. Your tireless efforts to keep our campsite clean and healthy will always be appreciated.
Just like cars, without fuel they don’t function . S ame applies to humans without food - we don’t function too. A huge thank you to our incredible catering team led by Mama Sandra and Mama Margret for fueling our camp with delicious meals and warm smiles . Y ou were the backbone of our camp. Truth be told , we had our meals in time, non-missed and it was always a balanced diet. The national treasurer Elder Mary, well done for keeping the camp finances in check and making sure everything continued well.
Guess what!!! Elder Francis Kigundu selected a team which he trained personally and prepared for the camp security and one of them managed to kill a snake that attacked two girls on their way to the campsite, this team made us feel safe - we’re grateful.
You are the MVP, camp host! Ap. Victor and the management Right Care (Mpigi campus) the warm welcome and hospitality you give to us every year, we appreciate. I thank the All Mighty LORD who gave Ap. Wilson and Mama Joy the vision of organising these Thematic Apostolic Camps . T hey began with small numbers but now , hundreds respond to the call. I appreciate everyone who attended the camp for the sacrifice and commitment ; you’re the reason the community is so strong. Thanks for offering a full week to be part of the wonderful training and equipping.
Don’t forget this year’s theme ADVANCING THE KINGDOM (Matthew 11:12) as you enjoy the year and eagerly keep preparing and waiting for the camp 2026-27.
