Our Discipleship model
We are all for making disciples in obedience to the great commission (Matt 28:18-20) and raising sons for Christ.
Our discipleship story begun in 2010, when Wilson Kitondekigya, an apostle and founder of Anointed Christian Healing Ministries made a decision to make disciples and to raise sons for Christ. Our focus became well defined since.
He, (Wilson) started this journey by teaching all he had learnt at the time to about 8 of his committed disciples. He spent time with them in teachings, going in the garden together, eating together and suffering many things together with them. These took his spirit and as they matured spiritually, formed the first team of leaders he worked with. These were later sent to lead different discipleship centres.
A 2Tim 2:2 model of discipleship
And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. 2Tim2:2
New King James Version
As his sons matured, he encouraged them to each get a disciple each – that they would train and teach the things they had learnt from him.
By the time they left, the disciples they had taken under their wings to train had also matured and thus took on leadership when these key leaders left Zana. A good number of these have also been commissioned in ministry.
They left a generation that is also raising others.
A sending people
With this kind of model, we have been able to effectively make disciples and send out more and more people and also plant sons into different communities. Where these sons have been sent, they are doing the same work of discipling and raising sons and then sending them to different communities as well. That is how we are taking Uganda for Christ.
An accountable apostolic company
All the different leaders sent out remain accountable and in relationship with us at Zana local base and as they are also raising disciples in their communities, we work together with them to raise sons. It doesn’t matter whether it is Zana or another discipleship center that has seen the need or received a call into a new community. We work together as a team to take Uganda for Christ.
A mission minded people
We collaborate on missions as well, and it is largely through missions that we keep in touch with one another, and strengthen each other. Over 70 percent of our income is spent on missions. We also meet at least once every month (in our end of month discipleship class) to be charged and to have fellowship with one another.
Apart from the sons we raise, we also relate with other people and church leaders who are in different ministries and denominations.
So far, we have a presence in 28 districts in Uganda.
